Editorial & corporate design
Factum Design is the name of creative team formed by the couple Alexandru Schiopu, graphic designer, and Cristina Sabau, copywriter, in 2007. The team, based in Bucharest, is the natural result of many years of collaboration aimed at bringing creative ideas to life in different kinds of projects. 
Factum Design works are a mix of visual languages and personal experiences rooted in practice of graphic design, but also in photography, graphic arts and design theory. The projects reveal the interest in modern design thinking brought up in concepts with a fresh approach of graphic elements, layout, colour and type.
Factum Design portfolio contains works of editorial design (books, brochures, newspapers) and corporate design (logo, identities, naming), for Romanian and international companies.
Alexandru Schiopu is trained in graphic design and works as an art director for 15 years. His projects concern mainly editorial design, packaging design, corporate/brand identity, together with print campaigns.
Alexandru covers the vaste area of visual. When he started as a freelancer, his focus was on projects of editorial design, corporate identity and packaging.
His education, as a graduate of graphic design at the Minsk Institute of Art and Design, combined with the vivid interest in visual arts (photography, graphic arts and painting) gave him strong abilities for conveying messages into creative concepts.
Cristina Sabau is a design journalist and copywriter. She is the writer in the creative team. Her projects were focused on branding and identity projects, creating verbal identities, brand rhetoric, brand literature, and naming.
She is specialized in history and theory of design, and has gained her reputation as a co-founder of Design Buletin (the first Romanian design magazine) that edited for 5 years, and also as a lecturer on design.
Cristina graduated Theory and History of Art from the Fine Arts Institute in Bucharest and she has a PhD in architecture.

Învață să observi!
Vino la atelierele de design pentru copii, unde înveți să observi, să cunoști și să înțelegi lumea obiectelor din jurul tău. Vei ști mai mult, îți vei explica mai bine, vei dori să devii designer.
Sunt Cristina Sabău* și am pregătit imagini și povești despre cum, de ce și din ce au fost create multe dintre obiectele pe care le întîlnești, cuprinse în 4 ateliere:
- Vreau să fiu designer!
- Designul pe înțelesul copiilor**
- Obiecte deosebite, materiale obișnuite
- Obiecte și momente
Atelierele sunt dedicate copiilor între 8-10 ani și 11-13 ani care manifestă interes viu pentru obiectele care îi înconjoară, au durata de 90 minute și se bazează pe expunere de imagini, discuții și o repriză bună de desen (creație de obiecte).
E timpul să afli ce înseamnă design. Cunoașterea și înțelegerea obiecelor de design trebuie să facă parte din educația ta!
*Cu o experiență de peste două decenii în predarea cursurilor de istoria și teoria designului, percepție vizuală și elemente de limbaj plastic, am creat o serie de proiecte dedicate copiilor (8-13 ani) din dorința de a-i familiariza cu domeniul designului, de a le forma criterii de înțelegere și apreciere a obiectelor.
